Crescent City and Del Norte County celebrated America’s 248th birthday with a monumental Parade, July 4th.
Crescent City Police Chief Richard Griffin remarked, “ This year’s Parade was the largest I’ve seen since becoming Chief.” An estimated 5,000 plus lined the Parade route on H, 3rd, K and Front Streets, six to seven deep, according to Griffin.
Magnificent Summer weather, no fog cover to speak of, allowed for a spectacular Fireworks Show later that evening. Here are the float award winners:
