Redwood Parks Conservancy’s 7th annual Run in the Redwoods 5k Fun Run/Walk has gone virtual.
To participate, register online then run or walk a 5k wherever you live anytime Oct. 3-10. You can run, walk, treadmill, hop, skip, even paddle your 5k. Ask your family and friends to join you in supporting your parks and public lands.
Even if you’re not able to participate, you can still help Redwood Parks Conservancy (RPC) simply by registering and paying the entry fee and you’ll be sent a long-sleeve custom event shirt.
The RPC’s store also offers videos from the park, running bibs and finisher ribbons and ways to participate from wherever you are with photos and videos. Check their Facebook page for updates at https://www.facebook.com/Redwoodparks. All registered participants will get email updates with details.
The Virtual Run in Redwoods 5k is one of only two fundraising events RPC uses to assist its partner parks. All proceeds from the event, including sponsor support, will provide funds needed for education, restoration, science and visitor services in Redwood National and State Parks and other RPC partner public lands.
Register online at www.redwoodparksconservancy.org. Registration fees include: $40 for long-sleeve custom shirt; $45 for custom shirt and bib; $50 for custom shirt, bib and finisher ribbon. Register prior to Sept. 15 to receive a shirt early to wear during the 5k.
