State Farm boosts CASA

State Farm agent Lisa McKeown donated a check for $330 to CASA of Del Norte as part of the national State Farm Insurance promotion “Quotes for Good.” State Farm agents select a local nonprofit to benefit. Anyone who calls the local agent for a quote, and mentions that nonprofit, prompts a $5 contribution to the organization from State Farm. McKeown chose CASA Del Norte, run by executive director Christine Slette, because McKeown “has a heart for kids in crisis.”

CASA, a national organization with local chapters, provides advocates and mentors for children in foster care. McKeown’s check represents phone-call donations from the past two months.
