The first new cases of COVID-19 in Del Norte County since Monday were reported just before 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to 96 — eight of which are active. One person is currently hospitalized.
The six new positive cases reported to Public Health today included three related to travel outside the county or travelers coming into Del Norte County. The report was not more specific.
Two cases were linked to known positive cases and one case is still under investigation.
