A 53-year-old Crescent City man was arrested Sept. 28 for a Nov. burglary at the Elks Lodge.
On Nov. 11, 2019, an officer from the Crescent City Police Department responded to a report of a male subject making a lot of noise the area of the Elks Lodge, located at 359 H Street.
According to the CCPD, the subject was not located in the area.
Officers then discovered a burglary had occurred at the Elks Lodge and recovered evidence from outside the building as well as numerous areas inside.
Through further investigation and analysis of the evidence items recovered by the Department of Justice, Officer Tyler Balch was able to author and receive a Ramey Warrant on Sept. 28 for the arrest of Donald Ira Baker, 53, of Crescent City. Baker was then located by CCPD officers and arrested on the same day the warrant was issued. According to Police Chief Richard Griffin, Baker was booked into the Del Norte County Jail and charged with burglary. Bake is being held on $50,000 bail.
