“Nature’s Magic” Exhibit by Carol Long
Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness presents the work of artist Carol Long. Carol was recently featured in DNACA’s 29th annual Juried Art Exhibition, and her nature-themed exhibit is on display at the Del Norte Courthouse, now extended through August 19. “Del Norte Scenes” Exhibit
Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness presents the work of artist Edward Reidel, first place winner in DNACA’s 29th annual Juried Art Exhibition. His exhibit “Del Norte Scenes” is on display at the 2nd floor mezzanine of the CEC Airport at 1650 Dale Rupert Road, through June 17 as part of DNACA’s Art in Public Places program. The airport terminal’s regular hours are 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. weekdays, 6 - 10 a.m. and 5 - 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 5 - 8 p.m. Sundays. Crescent City Art
Crescent City Art at 1228 2nd St., Crescent City, is open to the public Wednesday - Saturday from noon - 5 p.m. Crescent City Art member art exhibits include Susan Humphry at the Del Norte County Library, Catherine Balck at the Wild Rivers Foundation offices and an exhibit of various artists at the Sutter Coast Hospital Infusion Center and in the Main Hall at Sutter Coast Hospital. “Colorful Critters of Del Norte County”
Fun Summer activities are easy with the book “Colorful Critters of Del Norte County.” Perfect for your summer visitors, the book is made for meditative coloring for adults, and fun for children, with hand drawn illustrations by local artist Rosemary Garcia. Highlighting the “wild side” of Del Norte County with local animals, the book includes captions in English, Tolowa, and Yurok, and at the end of the book interesting facts about the featured animals are included. A limited supply of “Colorful Critters of Del Norte County” is available at the Requa Inn at 451 Requa Road, Klamath, and at Wright’s Custom Framing in Brookings. Crescent Harbor Art Gallery
Crescent Harbor Art Gallery’s artist of the month is Debbie Dean. Debbie has worked as an art docent and art teacher before moving to Crescent City, and she has a love for oil painting, and painting animal portraits. The Del Norte community at large is invited to become members of Crescent Harbor Art Gallery. Gallery of Arts and Culture
The Gallery of Arts & Culture at 175 H St., Crescent City, presents featured artist John Hewitt, with a display of his watercolor paintings. An award-winning artist, he has also been featured in national art magazines, including Plein Air. As a physician, he worked in our local hospital emergency room for years, and his artistic works feature seascapes and beach scenes of our local area. The gallery also features the works of many other artists in a variety of mediums including fine art bowls, sculpture and jewelry.
