Sheriff Garrett Scott announced renovation of E Tank Dormitory 2 has been completed. The work was performed by County Building and Maintenance. The opening of this dorm will increase custody capacity to 100 inmates. Currently the Jail detains 85-95 inmates. Sheriff Scott plans to keep eight beds available for serious, violent offenders.
Scott shared his custody challenge with a dire need for additional corrections officers, “…we have a long way to go but we’re making progress.”
