Illegal Fireworks suspect Levi Mills, 33, asked for a continuance at his plea entering for his arraignment. September 17, in Department 1 of the Del Norte Superior Court.
Mills and co-defendant Megan Warner, 32 are charged of several felonies causing injuries related to the explosion of illegal fireworks and mortars, July 4th evening on South Beach. Then. Three year old Baby B, William Lupan, was severely injured and nearly died enroute to the Oregon Pediatric Intensive Care, in Portland.
The family reports Baby B is recovering and has undergone several multiple grafts on his back.
The continuance was requested by Mills’ legal team and presented to Judge Robert Cochran in an effort for both suspect and District Attorney can come to an agreement on the plea arrangement. The Judge approved the continuance. The possible plea proposals must be approved by the Court.
