Crescent City’s newest Centenarian celebrated her good health with some of her family at the Crescent City Skilled Nursing Home, last week.
Ruthe was born in Lemmon, South Dakota and moved to Crescent City in 1970. Ruthe worked in the fisheries industry and later developed master skills in quilting. As an active member of the Quilting Guild, Ruthe received many awards and commendations at the Del Norte County Fair.
Ruthe was one of 12 siblings and she delivered nine children, some of whom joined her to celebrate 100 years of life. Ruthe’s children included, Lester, Vern, Linda, Leala, Larry, Wanda, DeEll, Gail and Marthy.
