After days of moving dirt, rocks and trees that slid onto the roadway, U.S. 101 is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Last Chance Grade south of Crescent City. CalTrans is planning to keep the roadway open until 6 p.m. with one lane of traffic open. Motorists should anticipate at least two-hour delays today as workers continue to focus on removal and prevention efforts. Please note, your wait time is dependent on when you arrive, and this plan is subject to change with slide conditions.
CalTrans will continue constant monitoring of the slide and will provide updates as they receive them.
