The Del Norte Association of Realtors is hosting the Kite Festival, Saturday, June 21.
The event will be held at the Harbor office, Anchor Way, Noon-4PM.
Chair of Realtors for Community Angel Verdugo announced the Kite Festival seeks to raise funds for Kicks for Kids where the Realtors provide every Del Norte school with Big 5 shoe vouchers. The program allows teachers, principals, parents and the public to offer vouchers to students in need of new shoes, enabling them or their parents to select a pair at Big 5.
Verdugo reported last year Realtors were able to help 60 local students, from Kindergarten to High School to use the vouchers. This year, 120 kids will benefit from the program.
