VFW Department of California state officials recently traveled from Sacramento for an Officiation Ceremony to install officers in Crescent City.
VFW Auxiliary Department of California officials presided over the Friday evening ceremony to install the new officers for local Auxiliary Post #1381. Eight officers and three trustees took the decades old oath of Americanism, loyalty and unfailing love of our country and were sworn in. The auxiliary supports local veterans the and community in many programs while following strict national guidelines and bylaws.
The VFW Auxiliary is one of the nation’s oldest veterans’ service organizations and its members are the relatives of those who have served in overseas combat. They have nearly a million members nationwide who volunteer millions of hours and fundraise millions of dollars for charitable projects that benefit veterans, military service personnel and their families. They help the VFW pass or block legislation that impacts veterans and their families, and provide nearly a million volunteer hours in the VA medical system each year. Learn more at vfwauxiliary.org.
