Most readers think it's important to wear a mask when entering indoor public spaces
More than 70% of readers who responded to last week’s online poll published by the Curry Coastal Pilot and Del Norte Triplicate indicated they think it’s important to wear a mask when entering indoor public spaces (because of COVID-19).
An average of 26% of readers responded no and 3% said they are not sure.
The poll question on the two newspaper websites from June 18-22 was: Do you think it's important to wear a mask when entering indoor public spaces (because of COVID-19)?
A total of 809 readers responded on the Curry Coastal Pilot and Del Norte Triplicate websites, with nearly identical results on each.
On the Pilot website, 71% said yes, while 27% said no, and 2% were unsure. On the Triplicate website, 71% said yes, 26% said no, and 3% were unsure.
Every week a new question is posed to readers. This week’s question, now available on both newspaper websites, is: “What is your biggest concern this week?” Answer options are: Health, including risk of COVID-19; Money, including related to COVID-19 job loss or higher prices; Something else related to COVID-19; Politics, including social unrest; Something else; and Have no concerns. The poll can be found by scrolling down on each newspaper’s website. Poll results do not provide us with information about respondents, only a summary of answers.
