Sutter Coast Hospital has announced the appointment of Michael Lane as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Lane began his new position, Monday, February 5.
Lane comes to Sutter Coast as the former COO at Tenet Health Care of Templeton (San Luis Obispo county) overseeing operations at six hospitals across Northern California. Lane, simultaneously served as COO of Tenet Twin Cities Hospital, a 122 bed Acute Care facility, in Templeton.
Lane, a graduate of Golden Gate Hospital with a Master of Science (MS) Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Health Care, information technology and financial management. Lane has served as past president of Templeton Chamber of Commerce, chairing the Cancer Support Committee. He is also a Board member of the California Association of Healthcare leaders/ American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Lane began his career in Healthcare services and a retired after serving twenty years from US Navy.
The new COO replaces Mitch Hanna, 37 year Sutter Administration employee, the last decade spent as COO at Sutter Coast. Hanna and his team brought the Infusion Center and Dialysis Center onto its campus, launched the Sutter Hospice center scheduled to open by the end of 2024 and helped bring Federal grant funding to bring more physicians to rural Del Norte County.
Lane comes to Crescent with high praise.
