Congratulations to Alex and Ryan Posner (not pictured) on acquiring the ground lease of the iconic Patrick Creek Inn, in Gasquet.
The Posners’ are dedicated campers from southern California, and have been coming up to Del Norte for over a decade. The Posners attempted to acquire the Lodge four years ago, after long-term camping at the Jed Smith Campground, but the opportunity was not yet available.
Now, the U.S. Forest Service has finalized the Posners’ 20 year land lease.
Alex Posner announced the Lodge will officially open April 1. The Lodge consists of 19 rooms, six motel units and two vacation rental units. The bar and restaurant will officially be open, May 1.
The iconic Patrick Creek Lodge is 99 years old, founded as a stage coach stop in 1926.
Meanwhile, the Posners are making the necessary repairs and completing all necessary permits.
