Russell Walters, Sr, father of Russell Walters. Jr. is charged with Accessory After the Fact, alleging the elder Walters helped his 17 year old son evade law enforcement, following a May 28 shooting at the Jed Smith Center along 101North, in Crescent City. The duo was eventually captured and arrested in Citrus Heights in Sacramento County.
Russell, Senior has been detained in the Del Norte County Jail. He appeared in Dept. 3 and sought bail for the single Accesory charge, a felony. Judge Karen Olson denied bail due to a lack of factual information. The Honorable Judge Olson stated she would review the Senior Russell’s application for bail, July 1st.
Meanwhile, Russell, Jr. has been detained on a number of felony charges and has been detained in an unnamed Juvenile facility outside of Del Norte County. No further information has been made public.
