Police Blotter

The police blotter is a public record of incidents as reported by law-enforcement agencies.  All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are innocent until proven guilty.  The information printed is preliminary and subject to change.

 

Tuesday 3/29/2022:

•At 8:08 am, 17400 block of Highway 101, Yurok Tribal Police responded after caller reported he asked a subject to leave, subject left with some of callers items.

•At 11:44 am, 600 block of 5th Street, sheriff responded after caller reported that a subject is using his information and debit card.

•At 2:24 pm, 1300 block of Burtschell Street, sheriff responded after caller reported that she was attacked by a subject she was trying to serve.

•At 3:00 pm, 2600 block of Washington Boulevard, fire department responded to after report of smoke coming from a power pole.

•At 5:18 pm, Craig’s Beach and South Fork Road, ambulance responded after caller reported a light blue BMW down the embankment on its top.  Unknown if anybody is inside.

•At 6:19 pm, 800 block of Northcrest Drive, police responded after caller reported a motor vehicle accident.  Other driver try to flee.

•At 7:32 pm, 1600 block of Northcrest Drive, sheriff responded after a third party reported a male subject threatening to stab another male subject.

•At 8:14 pm, Kellogg Beach Road, sheriff responded after report of reckless driving.  A pick up pulling an object with people on the object.

Wednesday, 3/30/2022:

•At 5:09 am, Elk Valley and S Bend Road, ambulance responded after report of a female subject who fell into a fire.

•At 6:59 am, 1300 block of Northcrest Drive, sheriff responded after report of vehicle vs bike.

•At 9:02 am, Front Street, police responded after caller requested removal of a subject that is urinating at the bus stop.

•At 10:55 am, Adams and El Monte, sheriff responded after report that subjects attempted to steal playground equipment.

•At 11:15 am, 1700 block of Northcrest Drive, sheriff responded after caller reported that pornography has been sent to her phone.

•At 12:25 pm, Del Norte County area, sheriff responded after caller reported that she is being harassed and threatened by a subject.

•At 2:07 pm, 700 block K Street, police responded after caller reported that a subject slapped her.

•At 2:50 pm, Northcrest Drive and Highway 101, police responded after report of a subject swerving at high rate of speeds.

•At 4:01 pm, 600 block of Highway 101, police responded after report that a subject stole a red sweater.

•At 6:44 pm, Smith River Cemetery, sheriff responded after report that door to shed has been forced open, unknown if anything was taken.

•At 7:50 pm, 1000 block of Highway 101, police responded after caller reported she witnessed a male subject entering what believed to be a vacant unit through the window.

•At 11:58 pm, 1600 block of Monroe Avenue, sheriff responded after State Patrol advising subject was separated from GPS device, requesting patrol in the area.

Thursday, 3/31/2022:

•At 12:14 am, 900 block of Northcrest Drive, police responded after report of a male subject causing a disturbance in the parking lot, making threatening gestures.

•At 1:40 am, 400 block of Vance Ave, police responded after caller reported a male subject is outside of her door threatening her.

•At 2:10 am, 400 block of Howe Drive, police responded after caller reported a male subject approached her and a group of friends at fire pit and threatened harm to them.

•At 4:36 am, 100 block of A Street, police responded after caller reported a vehicle lost control, went over a sidewalk and is now in a field in front of the business.

•At 9:56 am, Anchor Beach and Highway 101, fire department responded after report of a log on fire at South Beach.

•At 11:28 am, 600 block of Endert Street, police responded after caller reported a male subject punched her in the face.

•At 8:39 pm, 1300 block of Murphy Avenue, sheriff responded after caller reported her sister came home with various bruises and abrasions.  Claims she was attacked by a known male subject.

•At 10:01 pm, 1000 block of Highway 101, police responded after caller reported staff took all of his money from his account and will not give him gas.  Now in a verbal dispute with staff.

•At 10:38 pm, 400 block of M Street, police responded after report of male subject yelling at customers and throwing rocks at vehicles.

•At 11:51 pm, 400 block of M Street, police responded after staff reported a male subject walked out of the store with a hand basket full of meat products.

Friday, 4/1/2022:

•At 12:24 am, 300 block of Wyentae Street, sheriff responded after caller reported an unknown male subject is threatening to shoot him.  No weapon seen.

•At 3:32 pm, 1100 block of Harrold Street, sheriff responded after caller reported she hears something behind her house.  Believes someone is trying to gain access to the residence.

•At 7:19 am, 1400 block of Highway 101, sheriff responded after caller reported his semi was broken into sometime last night and personal items were stolen.

•At 9:55 am, Wonderstump and Coulson, fire department responded after report of down live power line.  Was in flames in the bushes now just smoke.

•At 2:09 pm, 300 block of Cooper Ave, sheriff responded after report of theft of fence panels.

•At 2:31 pm, Younkers and Lake Earl, ambulance responded after report of a female subject crashed into the ditch, unknown injury, is still inside.

•At 2:55 pm, 800 block of Washington Boulevard, sheriff responded after report of a male subject walked out naked and is throwing things.

•At 5:19 pm, 1400 block of Parkway Drive sheriff responded after report of a female subject throwing items and assaulting staff.

•At 1100 block of K Street, sheriff responded after caller reported a break in that occurred at approximately 1800 hours.  Unknown if any items taken.

 

Saturday, 4/2/2022:

 

•At 6:59 am, 400 block of Elk Valley Road, fire department responded after report of a male subject starting a fire in a ditch with crab rope.

•At 8:34 am, 100 block of Azalea Drive, sheriff responded after report of a male subject taking tires off an abandoned vehicle.

•At 11:43 am, South Beach, sheriff responded after caller reported her jacket and keys were stolen at the beach.

•At 4:23 pm, Railroad and Malaney, sheriff responded after caller reported somebody broke into her tent and she has a photograph.

•At 7:46 pm, 600 block of Keller Avenue, sheriff responded after caller reported a male subject behind his home shooting a sling shot.

•At 8:20 pm, 600 block of McNamara Avenue, sheriff responded after caller reported juveniles are throwing rocks at his house.

•At 9:16 pm, 100 block of Alder Camp Road, sheriff responded after caller reported a vehicle pulled up with weapons then the phone disconnected.

 

Sunday, 4/3/2022:

 

•At 12:23 pm, 200 block of M Street, ambulance responded after caller reported she woke up with mold all over her body.

•At 3:50 pm, 800 Washington Boulevard, sheriff responded after caller reported a subject stole a tool box and ran out of the store.

•At 4:48 pm, 2500 block of Nickel Avenue, sheriff responded after caller reported that her house was broken into.  Does not appear anything was taken from the house.  Two dirt bikes stolen from the back yard.

•At 7:32 pm, 18000 block of Highway 199, fire department responded after report of shed on fire.  Possible gas cans in shed, spreading.

•At 7:49 pm, 200 block of Dat-Naa-SVT Loop, sheriff responded after caller reported a known subject was prowling by her home and made strange statements.

•At 9:45 pm, 12400 block of Highway 101, fire department responded after report of camper on fire.

 

Monday, 4/4/2022:

 

•At 12:45 am, 400 block of M Street, police responded after report of a female putting items in her purse.

•At 12:11 pm, 2600 block of Washington Boulevard, sheriff responded after caller reported theft of a dog.

•At 1:25 pm, 10000 block of Highway 199, sheriff responded after caller reported someone broke into his garage.

•At 1:33 pm, 9600 block of Highway 199, sheriff responded after caller reported that her wallet was stolen from her residence.

•At 1:46 pm, 600 block of Highway 101, police responded after report of theft from a vehicle.

•At 3:31 pm, Del Mar Street, sheriff responded after caller reported seeing a male subject hit a female subject, get her into the vehicle and drive away.

•At 3:33 pm, 9800 block of Highway 199, sheriff responded after caller reported receiving a check in the mail that is possibly fraudulent.

•At 3:38 pm, 1300 block of J Street, sheriff responded after caller reported that someone possibly broke in her brother’s home.

•At 4:31 pm, 200 block of Earl Street, sheriff responded after report of financial elder abuse.

•At 5:03 pm, 4100 Lake Earl Drive, sheriff responded after caller reported that her son and his girlfriend stole her debit card number and has been using it for Doordash.

•At 9:30 pm, 1100 block of Douglas, sheriff responded after report of prowler in a black vehicle.
