Saturday, Oct. 17

At 12:06 a.m., officers made a traffic stop at Safeway Market on the 400 block of M Street in Crescent City. A warning was given.

At 12:19 a.m., caller reported a disturbance at Madrone Mobile Home Park on the 2500 block of Highway 199 in Hiouchi. It was quiet when officers arrived.

At 12:26 a.m., officers made a traffic stop at Shell Gas Station on the 1200 block of Northcrest Drive in Crescent City. A citation was issued.

At 1:04 a.m., caller reported a possible physical fight at Elk Valley Casino on the 2000 block of Elk Ranch Road near Crescent City. A report was taken.

At 1:31 a.m., officers checked on a vehicle at Elk Valley Casino on the 2000 block of Elk Ranch Road near Crescent City. Everything checked out.

At 12:18 p.m., caller reported suspicious circumstances at Walmart on the 900 block of East Washington Boulevard near Crescent City. The report was unfounded.

At 3:20 p.m., caller reported suspicious circumstances at Pacific Avenue and El Dorado Street in Crescent City. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

At 5:34 p.m., caller reported suspicious circumstances at Del Norte County Sheriff Office / Jail on the 600 block of 5th Street in Crescent City.

At 7:22 p.m., caller reported suspicious circumstances at Summer Park Apartments on the 1500 block of Summer Park Court in Crescent City.

At 9:08 p.m., officers made a traffic stop at Lake Earl Drive and Purdy Lane in Fort Dick. A warning was given.

Arrests

At 6:30 a.m., the Del Norte County Sheriff's Office arrested Joshua Thomas Janssen, 25, on Northcrest Drive. Charges: Murder: first degree.

At 7:42 p.m., the California Highway Patrol arrested Christopher Wilson, 38. Charges: Possess unlawful paraphernalia; Obstruct/resist/etc public/peace officer/emergency med tech - Simple; Fail to provide proof of insurance to peace officer; Driving when privileges suspended/revoked, other than DUI.
