Mail-in Ballots and the 2024 General Election Voter Guide should have arrived to all registered voters in Del Norte County. Voting now begins through November 5 postmark, at the County Clerk’s drop-off box, through the mail or your polling location designated on your Ballots.
Up for election...
• Republican candidate for President and Vice President, Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance vs. Democrat candidate Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
• United States Senator, Democrat Adam Schiff vs. Republican candidate Steve Garvey, two ballot votes for the balance of past away Diane Feinstein’s term, the other for the full six year term. (Open Seat)
• Second District Congressional candidate Democrat incumbent Jared Huffman vs Republican Chris Coulombe.
• Second State Assembly District Republican Michael Greer vs. Chris Rogers.
• Crescent City Harbor District (no party preference) VOTE for THREE
The candidates are Dan Schmidt, John Evans, Devon Morgante, Annie Nehmer and Linda Sutter.
• There are 10 State Measures numbered 2,3,4,5,6,32,33,34, 35 and 36.
• The County has two school bond items:
• Measure H, $59 million school facilities bond
• College of the Redwood Repair and Upgrade Measure for $120 million.
• Though printed on your Ballots, the City of Crescent City election is not necessary. The ballot shows the names of the three candidates running for the three open seats. Incumbent Jason Greenough, Daran Dooley and Candace Tinkler will take their Oaths after the election has been certified in mid-November.
