The Rural County representatives of California (RCRC) honored Ted Ward, Director of the Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority (DNSWMA) with the 2024 RCRC President’s Award. The Award is presented each year to recognize individuals who go above and beyond to support and strengthen California’s rural Counties. RCRC President Patrick Blacklock presented the Commendation to Director Ward at the recent RCRC Executive Board meeting in Sacramento for RCRC’s affiliate entity, the Rural Counties’ Environmental Services Joint Powers Authority.
Ward was recognized for his exceptional leadership which spans over three decades experience. Ward was cited for his service on the Single-use packaging Advisory Board and the California Statewide Commission on Recycling Markets and Curbside Recycling.
