Green is a four-year resident of Del Norte County and a retired special education teacher, from Paradise. He relocated to Del Norte County following the devastating Paradise Camp fires.
Greer served as a trustee on the Paradise Union School District for 14 years and was the president of the district at the time of the fires. Greer states he’s running for Assembly to help bring common sense back to the state and the voters.
“I differ from Assemblyman (Jim) Wood on most policy issues because his so-called “solutions” and his voting patterns have forced Californians to pay some the highest gas, electrical power, medical and housing costs in the nation,” declares Greer.
The filing period at the clerk’s office begins Monday, November 13.
Incumbent Assemblymember Jim Wood, a Democrat, is seeking is sixth two-year term. Members of the Assembly are termed out after 12 years in office.
