Updated 6/28/20, 1:10 p.m.: Although the report of a second Del Norte COVID-19 case requiring hospitalization received on June 27 indicated only one person was hospitalized, Del Norte County's statistics page today shows two people hospitalized.

A new confirmed case of COVID-19 requiring hospitalization was reported in Del Norte County Saturday, June 27, bringing the total of active cases to two.

On June 23 the county reported its first case requiring hospitalization; from the data released on June 27, it appears that the first individual requiring hospitalization has been released from the hospital.

The new case was acquired through community transmission and brings the total number of residents who have tested positive to 50.

The county reports that a total of 2,481 people have been tested; of the 50 positives, 48 cases have resolved and one individual remained hospitalized as of Saturday afternoon.
