Holiday card

Tri-County Independent Living, which is increasing independence for persons with physical, sensory, developmental/intellectual, brain injury, and/or mental/emotional disabilities in Del Norte, Trinity, and Humboldt counties, is holding a holiday card competition.

People who live with any type of disability and enjoy doing art are encouraged to enter. The theme is “What do the holidays mean to you?” Card entries should be non-denominational, 8-by-11 inches or smaller and represent the artist’s ideal holiday scene or concept. There will be prizes. First place- $100; second place - $75; and third place - $50.

And all entries will be included in a drawing for the lucky one to win a Chromebook. The first place entry will be used as TCIL’s holiday card for this year. Submissions are due by Dec. 1. Entries can be sent via email to, in person in Eureka or with assistance from the TCIL-Del Norte staff (phone Sequoia at 707-496-9458). Any questions can be answered by phoning TCIL-Eureka at 833-866-8444
