The Tolowa Dunes Stewards and Redwood Parks Conservancy invites volunteers to join their restoration project of the Lake Earl estuary from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2. Organizers recommend wearing “muck” boots.

Gather before noon at the end of Old Mill Road, north of Crescent City, at the Info Center, 2591 Old Mill Rd. Dress for the weather and bring water and personal snacks. The Tolowa Dunes Stewards provide equipment, gloves and generous snacks.

Rain will cancel the event. If it rains, a makeup date may be possible the following Monday or Tuesday. Stay tuned to The Triplicate’s website for updates.

To learn more, call or text Sandra, Tolowa Dunes Stewards Director, at 707-954-5253.
