Kevin Andrew Luskin

Kevin Andrew Luskin passed away on February 28th, 2022, at the age of 59 in Crescent City, CA. Kevin Luskin was born on July 7th, 1962 in Torrance, CA. Kevin enjoyed taking nature photos of the redwoods and beaches. He had a passion for surfing, fishing, and hiking among the redwoods. One of his favorite lines comes from a Grateful Dead song, “sunshine, daydream, walking in the tall trees”. We all will miss his boisterous laugh and sense of humor. His free spirit and kindness to people, passion for seals and Mother Nature, defined his life.

He attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, where he majored in Marketing. He joined the Phi Zeta Chi fraternity (a community service organization) where he made many close and lifelong friends. Kevin also liked to travel. Through Pepperdine University he traveled to Jerusalem (where he walked the same route Jesus took to his crucifixion), Japan, and Amsterdam. Kevin also worked in London, England for a year for his father’s company. He took every advantage to take trips to France, Belgium, and Ireland. Yes, he did visit the Guinness Brewery. After coming back from England, Kevin moved to Alaska for a year to rejuvenate and get closer to nature. He came back to California and lived in Palm Springs for a number of years. Kevin longed to be back in Northern California and would attend many river festivals with old and newfound friends. Reggae on the River and Russian River Jazz and Blues to name two, but there were many others. Eventually, he decided to follow his heart and move north to Crescent City, CA. In recent years, Kevin enjoyed spending time at his favorite pub, Port O’ Pints, where he made many friends and memories.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father Keith Luskin. He is survived by his mother Darlene Luskin and aunt Maxine Michaels. He left behind several close friends. Among them are Rick and Carol White, Jeff White, Eli Stancliff, Devin Beach, Greg Combs, James Evans, and many, many others including all his frat brothers and little sisters.

Kevin’s Celebration of Life will be held at Port O’ Pints Brewery in Crescent City, CA on April 2nd, 2022, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. All friends are welcome.
