Wanda Darlene Bigham passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, February 16, 2020, after a long fight with dementia. She was born on March 31, 1929 in Seminole County Oklahoma to parents William (Pete) Poole and Gladys Martin. Wanda would have been 91 this March 31, 2020.

Her growing up years were spent in Antlers Oklahoma with her parents, three brothers (Ewell, Perry (PL) and Jackie) and one sister, LaFalla (Polly) Beck, who still lives in Oklahoma. Her extended family continuing to stretch from Oklahoma to California still today.

Wanda loved babies and old people. Still quite young when she moved to California and went to work in a hospital in the pediatrics wing. There she cared for the babies; holding them, changing and feeding them. She said it was one of her favorite jobs. That love never changed. She adored her grandchildren and was champion for each and every one of them.

She and her Husband, Harvey (of 62 years), relocated to Crescent City from the San Joaquín Valley in 1954 and worked for many years to build their businesses (Northside Auto & Mobile Home Park as well as the Holiday Inn) and home for their growing family. They have three grown children. Steve and spouse, Janet Bigham, Linda Lochard of Medford and Randy and spouse Darla Bigham of Lake Havasu Arizona.

Besides working, she enjoyed her family immensely. She always had a cookie and a hug. She did some local volunteer work in addition, for many years her and Harvey and two of their best friends traveled around on their motorcycles visiting new places around the United States. They also loved to dance and were members of the Ruhneberg Social Club.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, granddaughter Amanda and husband Harvey on November 13, 2010.

Memorial service will be announced at a later date with location and time.
