I would like to thank the Triplicate for allowing each of the candidates for County Supervisor the equitable and fair opportunity to address the community through your publication.
I would like to be clear on a couple of issues, as my opposition likes to represent their own interpretive narrative. In keeping with Government Code 54950, which reads in part, The Board exist to aid the People’s business. The People do not yield their sovereignty to the Board. The People decide what is good for the People to know or not know.
Recently, 1) the Board interfered with the “right of the people” attempting a recall, to let it fail or pass on its merit. 2) Equal application of the Boards authority. The Board approved an exception request for non-tribal members, yet denied an exception request to tribal members on Rancheria land. I assert the Tolowa are also the “People” of the 3rd District.
