We have known Valerie for three years. She has done some extraordinary things in that time as supervisor, that has had a huge impact on our lives.
She was instrumental in moving a drainage problem forward with Del Norte Co. Roads, that eradicated a flooding problem we experienced every time it rained.
She listened to local residents that live in close proximity of Preston Island. Thru coordination with local law enforcement, she was successful in eliminating overnight parking/camping and keeping homeless persons from building temporary shelters on the cliff.
She was instrumental in the process of encouraging local law enforcement into exhausting all avenues possible, when we experienced a vehicle stolen from our personal residence.
We have never had a person in local government, affect our lives in the manner that Valerie has. We are proud of her efforts and hope she can continue the extraordinary job that she has started with Del Norte County.
