Letter: Temper tantrum
I was a member of the Communist Party of the U.S.A. from 1993 to 1996.
I am not apologizing and I am not bragging about that, it just happens to be a fact.
I bring up my political history because I think what is going on these days with anarchist groups like Antifa is a total disgrace.
Political censorship was un-American during the Red Scare and the Joseph McCarthy era way back when.
It is so sickening and pathetic to see the modern-day Progressive Left embrace the tactics and ideas of Chairman Mao and the Cultural Revolution in China.
Don’t believe me? The brain surgeons of the Anarchist Left are currently tearing down statues of Abraham Lincoln and Black soldiers who fought for the Union during the Civil War.
Huh?
Fanatics like that do not remind me of intellectuals like Alexander Cockburn or Noam Chomsky.
The thugs who took over Seattle are a bunch of childish brats who are throwing a temper tantrum.
