Excerpts from the call logs of the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Department:

Tuesday, Oct. 6:

At 12:48 a.m., a resident in the 1900 block of Union Street reported hearing voices outside and seeing people on his porch.

At 8:16 a.m., a report of a house in the 1600 block of El Monte Street filled with smoke and the smell of burned plastic.

At 9:17 a.m., a resident in the 1900 block of Union Street requested the removal of a subject sleeping in his backyard.

At 10:49 a.m., a female subject reported she was being stalked by an unknown male subject in the 10700 block of Highway 101 in Smith River.

At 1:57 p.m., a report of subjects with a stolen shopping cart from Walmart in the 700 block of L Street.

At 2:02 p.m., a subject reported something was stolen from her car yesterday in the 900 block of Washington Boulevard.

At 4:20 p.m., a female subject reported her purse was stolen while shopping at a store in the 900 block of Washington Boulevard.

At 4:29 p.m., a report of a non-injury traffic collision at 6th and B streets.

At 4:53 p.m., a resident in the 1100 block of Pebble Beach Drive reported that three juveniles sprayed graffiti about law enforcement in front of the home.

At 5:06 p.m., a resident reported a trailer pulled on to a property for sale in the 100 block of Audree Lane with the intent of squatting on the property.

At 5:28 p.m., a resident in the 300 block of Waldo Street reported there were several subjects on a property across the street trespassing and having a party.

At 6:06 p.m., a resident in the 13000 block of Ocean View Drive in Smith River reported there is a vehicle stashed in the bushes on the property next to theirs.
