The Del Norte High School cross-country varsity and junior varsity teams wrapped up their seasons with the league championship in Arcata on Nov. 9.

This was the only meet of the year that included a JV boys’ race, according to Warriors coach Scott Lindsay.

“We had a great year and ran more than 200 miles training. Having only one senior and two juniors, we have a bright future,” Lindsay said.

Kaleo Abasolo finished with the fastest time for the Warriors’ varsity team, good for 26th overall. Tristian Pfeifer finished 31st in the league. The Warriors’ only senior, Seth Lee, finished 33rd.

Aaron Martinez took second place overall in a tie at 18:26, which was also his personal best. Bobby Aflague finished 10th, Kyland Minyard 14th, Tyler Stanley 17th, Dan Fiola 18th and Quinten Phillips 21st.

Six out of the nine JV team’s runners participated in the meet.
